So when Ferne and his sister Chloe Sims nearly came to blows during filming for the TOWIE Christmas special on Sunday night, it stands to reason that the subject of the row was most likely to be Charlie.
Ferne was seen having to be pulled away from Chloe and sidekick Lauren Pope after a screaming match off-camera while the rest of the cast shot scenes for the festive episode.

While the focus of the argument remains unknown, Ferne was left in floods of tears, crying and sobbing as boyfriend Charlie attempted to step in and calm things down.
Earlier in the evening, it had seemed as though Ferne and Charlie had had a bit of an argument, with Ferne seen looking shocked at something her boyfriend said.
Ferne and Charlie famously split after he was seen in a passionate clinch with another woman while on holiday in Ibiza.
What's going on? Ferne appeared to be having some kind of row with boyfriend Charlie Sims earlier in the evening
Commotion: Police were called to the event, but it is not clear what they were there for
However, the pair rekindled their relationship in early November, after deciding to try and give their romance another go.
Earlier in the evening, Ferne had appeared in good spirits as she joined her fellow TOWIE stars to shoot scenes for the Christmas episode - which saw them compete in a festive decorations competition between Mark Wright and Lewis Bloor's families.
Dressed to impress: Ferne wore a printed minidress with camel coat and cream hat and scarf
Good friends: Ferne linked arms with Sam and Billie Faiers as they enjoyed the festive treats
Oh dear. Ferne McCann has been having another
blow out row with not only her boyfriend but his sister too. Not a
great way to start the festive season.
But at least Ferne has a nice new winter coat to keep her warm even if her fella isn't around. This camel belted coat is by Ted Baker and we're loving its classic stylings. The drape front creates a relaxed oversized feel while the belt gives more structure when it's time to wrap it up. If you need a new coat and haven't committed to one yet then why not give stylish camel a go. Click through to Ted Baker's online store now to get this beauty in time for the next cold snap!
Whatever the trends and whatever the year, you can't go wrong with this iconic coat. Pink will be out next winter, biker coats may be a fashion faux pas by then, but a wool camel coat will never fail you.
Ted Baker also have a shorter version of Ferne's coat (see below) but why not take a look at Topshop and Debenhams as well before you buy? There's one for every budget. Then wear over your winter wardrobe to ensure you stay stylish while you keep cosy.
And remember, Christmas is about love not war so no festive fighting please.
